I’ve got two bike rides coming up this year, in May I’m cycling from Birmingham to Greece and back and then in September a tour of Northern France.

I was thinking of getting an annual insurance to cover both as well as my main holiday.
Has anyone any recommendations?

Insurance for what? To cover cost of trip if prepaid group trip? Medical/accident? life? Not that I know
much about any of these, just to clarify.

Assuming you are from the U.S.: Make sure your health insurance is all settled, and check with them about coverage when traveling and emergency evac (e.g. if you need to be flown somewhere for medical attention).

Then, make sure your possessions are covered. Typically renter's or homeowner's will do the trick, although most policies do have some kind of deductible. Good bike locks will also have some kind of coverage, as might your credit card.

That's all the insurance I can think that you'll need.

I just signed up for the annual travel insurance policy with CAA. It covers me for unlimited trips outside of Canada up to 15 days in length, and gives me some extra insurance within Canada as well.

If you're from Canada, check with CAA. If you're from the US, check with AMA (or is it AAA?).

I never travel without travel insurance! :)

I've also got Machak, my bicycle, covered.

Triple A

It's also worth talking to your insurance agent, assuming you have an auto / home / rental policy to see what might already be covered plus the option to purchase.
