Mountain - Plains - Triple Bypass FYI

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
:)
Now if the helmet could actually do something useful... like maybe hold a helmet cam for those times like the other evening when I rode 5 miles on Colfax/Simms/Union splitting lanes and passing all the cars that were moving at like 2 mph (IF they were lucky!) then I MIGHT think about wearing one more often. ;)
WHATEVER!!! I'm gonna KICK YOUR BUTT! :)

I'm still a maybe. $130 is a lot knowing I 'can't' transfer or sell it. I'm sure there will be plenty of gray market hand-offs. I'm usually done planning the year by now, just haven't gotten to it....
Bring it on! :D

I've been watching the club mileage climb on BJ this week. In order to prevent myself from falling off the backend I am going to do about 50 today. :p That and it is nice enough I am breaking out the skinny tired bike. However, 50 miles on a mtb would be a heck of a workout.

I saw that. It's sure filling up fast. It was showing in the two thousands when I registered yesterday. Must've had a bunch of people signing up at the same time.

Oh I'll be able to catch since your not WEARING A HELMET I'm going to be able to lasso you in pretty easily. :)
Looks like I won't be doing this ride after all.

11 days? Is that a record? egads
You must join me on training rides in the spring! :)
Well there is still elephant rock. I'm trying to decide if I want to try that one this year on a single speed. However, I am not wearing a dress with pippy longstocking hair. I look bad enough in lycra.

You must be remembering someone else. I am too nice to do that.
Neither would I pedal one legged up lookout to make things more interesting for a bit.
WOW I must say I'm impressed that it FILLED up so quickly!!!! WOW WOW.
Well PWNT! We will ride regardless. :)

Whats your plan for tomorrow?
Don't really have a "plan" just know that I should get out. Why? are you available?
I am free. I do have homework to do so what kind of ride were you thinking about?
Road. Something not too TOO difficult. Around noon'ish. What's Lookout looking like these days?
Well a week ago Lookout looked good. I prerode it in my car to see how it looked.
So if you want I'll meet you where ever you like. I could get up and early do some errands and then do a ride. Just not anything too long since I have homework waiting for me :)
Well I have had an hour of sleep the last two days. So when I get off at 4 am (at work now) I plan on sleeping for a little while. Noon is a good start time for me, if that works for you.
We could meet at Heritage Square and do the lookout loop. What do ya think?

Sounds great! I'm in no rush. You have my cell right?
I seem to have misplaced it. I thought is was programed into my phone but I don't see it. :-|
NOTE: anyone that wants to meet us, you are more than welcome too. Right Snowy? :D

Its your birthday? HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! :)
Meeting at Heritage Square if anyone wants to show. If not, I got Snowy all to myself. w00t!

Excuses Excuses :) Sorry I hope you feel better. The ride was good, BUT BRRR COLD!! :) Coming down Lookout SUCKED! It took forever to get the feeling back into my left heel. Anyhoo, Pwnt did AWESOME!! Keep riding PWNT, before you know it you'll be superman on the bike :)

I'm not that bad. It's just that you do not want to be riding behind me.
I was wondering how your ride would be today. It felt pretty cool when I was working in my garage. I think I will stick to the flatlands until it starts warming up. :p Though I do have some chemical foot warmers to try out.
We didn't even ride together. :( It was just me off the back. But it was good to know there was someone out there that knew where I was. :D Thanks for meeting me Snowy. Had fun.
I left you and went and bought cycling shoe booties. LOL I own "booties".

Hey not many people can say that they rode Lookout Mtn today!!! GOOD JOB! :)
Also thats awesome that you got the booties, I think I'll wait for it to warm up in the future. It was cold regardless :)
I think I may do it again tomorrow too. :D

Not to get us back on topic, or anything but....
Received an e-mail from the ride coordinator today... my mail-in application was received in good order, and I AM, in fact, riding the Triple Bypass this year! :)

I'm still in. Only 7 months to decide how I will carry raingear on a tarmac.
Oh the horror.

LOL I own "booties".
I made my maiden voyage in mine Saturday, it was nice to ride in 40 degrees with just a regular pair of socks. I couldn't belive how much moisture built up in two hours. I guess I have sweaty ankles:eek: It was a nice easy rolling two hours in Arvada.
All the power to you on lookout, last time I rode it before x-mas I had to stop at the bottom at the quickie mart on 6th and Heritage for about a half hour so my brain freeze headache would go away and for my extremities to regain their feeling.
Oahu count down - 13 days.

I am thinking either a seat post rack or something on my back. Not sure I want to haul my messenger bag for that long.

TBP rookie here. I know it's still a ways away, but for you TBP veterans have any of you used the shuttle service back to Evergreen from Avon? Is it hassle-free or would you recommend coordinating/carpooling travel back instead.
