Doesn't your pedal have an allen key socket in the end? most do
If not you might try this.
Put the biggest nuts you can fit, one on either side of the crank arm against whats left of the pedal boss.
Then sandwich the whole thing real tight in a big metal jaw vice.
If you turn the crank arm the pedal boss should stay where it is and the crank arm should start to turn off the threads. You will need to re-clamp every now & then.
This is strictly last ditch but it has worked for me:D
This quote kinda turned me on....

ParkPre! They went out of business. And I know who ended up with a warehouse full of parts...

Haro TR 2.1
Snafu Thirteen Forged Crank
S&M Logo Seat

I did all the work myself too and a big thanks to danscomp.com for all the parts.

I had two bikes stolen from me. One right out of my garage. If I knew who did it they would be taking a long dirt nap. just kidding, I'd probably just @#$* on their head.

I'm not really impressed with too many new bikes. Most look too basic, not like the bikes from the 80's and 90's.

so i don't snap my chain/break teeth off my sprocket when i do sprocket stalls?
i thought about getting a 3/16" chain, sprocket and freewheel, but then decided spending $30 on a sprocket with a guard was better than spending $60-$70 on all that other stuff, plus it's lighter than all that other stuff.

Im just stating, I just got my new bike and what I'm thinking of getting for it. I don't even want to argue over it, this is the internet, I have no reason to get angry over what someone, Who lives in 10,000 miles away from me thinks. Ex, how about a truce, We stop hating eachother, and I'll try again, to stop posting stupid crap. Even though I know I'll slip back into my old ways, Its worth another shot. Ever since this war beatween us has, heated up the moderators, have sensored everything we say. Let's burry the hatchet so we don't get sensored. Or we could PM eachother the bad messages, but I think a truce would be a better idea. If I start to slip into stupidity warn me, next time. Alright?
Nope. I'll be nice when you can go a week with being stupid. Give it some thought.

I like it alot, but it would look like over the roof with no decals, a black cable housing, and a smaller sprocket.

That bike looks sweet. But I was just wondering, why do you have a LSD hub if you grind on the left?
FireTeamCharlie
09-08-05, 05:04 PM
I can answer that. Personally I'd get LSD even though I gring on the left. First because its different and looks cool. Second because it seems to give the bike a better feel. Maybe its because, just because the left is my dominant side. Thats just me. Oh yeah thats a sick bike. How much money do you have invested in that beast?

aww come on!! the pink housing is what MAKES the bike! i'm getting pink spokes when i rebuild my rear wheel. and i almost got some hot pink metal bars, but they were the wrong sweep and width.
plus, the decals are pictures of little mixtapes that say witty things on them, and were probably half the reason why i bought the frame in the first place. the other (more important reasons are: it fits, and it weighs 2lbs less than my old bike).
re: the sprocket, i am of the opinion that it works, and it will continue to work quite well for me, and the only reason for me to put a smaller one on would be for looks, and i'm not going to buy a new rear wheel and the sprocket, just so my bike will look cooler to other people.

Your setup looks real clean and solid, I like it. I also like the muted earthy colored frame with the bright contrasty S&M sticker bars. Looks good.

Oh, I know. I rode a 44 for a long time until I got a new wheel because I needed a new wheel. the bike looks set up great, I was just talking about looks.
I just painted my bars and forks, I need to post a picture on here when I take one.
