Foo - We should recruit

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I see some promise in the MTB forums. Their threads stay on topic almost as much as ours. And I see some real genius in there.

Most of them like to stick to their own, only a few of us venture out :)

I'm trying to venture out to MTB (I used to just use MTBR) but I find that I can hardly keep up with Foo and the MTB forum. Perhaps I should quit my job and just be on here all day.

They pay in balls and laughs...not much to buy food when all is said and done

My contract is up in ten months anyway, I'm just getting a head start on quitting. It'll be like Office Space, I'll just stop working and see how long it takes them to notice.
We should recruit the Mountain Bike forum to Advocacy and Safety. I have popcorn and marshmallows!

I haven't seen marshmallows since I got to Africa.

It's actually a Dulles, VA address so you can't stalk me. But that's okay, I'll stalk you when I get back.

Well now, if every Fooster added a new forum to the repetoire, we could take over.
You can see my name pop up almost everywhere. I can't say that I've ever been in the Nutrition forum, though.
Oh, and sometimes I even tell the brand new people in Introductions that they should come here. So I'm doing my bit to recruit.

Lurk on FatA**'s economics threads. I don't agree with him about a lot of social issues, but I've learned a great deal from Fatty about our economic system. He explains things in plain English. That kind of knowledge is a good thing.

He was talking about the housing market and was really pessimistic. I am not disagreeing, just saying he's not saying what everyone else is.

So, I'd be accepted? :D

Yes, but there's so much...ick factor there. It's sometimes hard to wade through all the flotsam just to find those few golden sparkling grains of reason and sanity :p .

S'ok - I'll make do then with my other forums and e-mail dist. groups as I'm working on getting an nice Jekyll and also installing a new fork on the lil rockhopper I have now. :D
I delve into the serious forums on several forum sites - but I go here for the outer limit stuffs.

Slink, East Hill. You should just try "slinkin'" sometime. :) It's good exercise for the toes, and leaves one lookin' rather, um, "svelte." So I've been told.

I'm not certain I'm tall enough to slink, that's the problem. But that's negative thinking, so...
Starting today I will slink!

Bents are like fat chicks and mopeds. A lot of fun to ride, just don't let your buddies see you doing it.
