I started to read some of it but, my computer had trouble loading the page. Maybe it's because it's an Apple (G4) or, maybe its because the website is not as friendly to the Mac operating system - I don't know.

Even with my own system I've noticed it helps to refresh a couple times ... and if that doesn't work it helps to delete my temporary internet files, and then refresh again. Then it comes up all right.

Great story, Machka. Very well written and a great website. What a lot of work! Is all the stuff in your store Machka tested and approved?

If a person wanted to go touring, they could just check your web site and get all they need. Great job and I bet it was a lot of work.

Give it another shot. I tried looking it over on a Mac today, and it seemed fine. Try hitting refesh or reload or whatever if it still doesn't seem to work.

Thanks! And it was a lot of work. I'm still working on other parts of the whole site to convert them to the blue format I use on my main page and the European story. I'm going for a consistent look.

It's a little off-topic but writing HTML with stylesheets can be a bit of a lifesaver in this regard. It's a bit more to learn, but once you get the hang of it, site redesigns become much easier. Change settings in one file and all of your pages can have a blue background with dark blue text or beige background with black text.

I wound up writing up my PBP travelogue for submission to the RUSA yearbook and the whole thing wound up being a 12,000 word, 18 page (single spaced) word document.

Huhuhu, I was confused for a minute there. I'd been on your site maybe three weeks ago and read your PBP story. I visited again today and I thought "wow, she's done a lot of editing". And then I realized I'd read the 2003 story the last time :)
BTW, no problems viewing the site on a Mac with Safari 3 and Camino.
