Sorry folks, I don't answer polls where everyone over 60 is lumped into one big category!

Just a personal thing, but I believe in equal intervaling.

No idea abut anyone else but as I got older I....became my father!
While I have a 'few pounds' on my late dad, I could pass as his double facially and darned if I haven't adopted all of his values (all the ones I didn't understand, couldn't abide by when I wore a younger mans clothes)

Just wondering how old you Clydes are. I'm old enough to know that I will always be a clyde!

I'm 44 and a half!:p

Well, since the last check-up I had with the exercise physiologist I'm working with indicated that healthy weight (15%BF) for me is 225 I too will always be a clyde. Age got nothing to do with it. That being said, I'll be 32 next month.

Geesh... bad enough I'm big but now I'm one of the oldest (57). =sigh= :( you all have a nice weekend. I have date with a bucket of ice cream!

After the pic you posted from this (http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=343716) thread? I don't believe you are over 50 for one second. I might even argue that you aren't over 40.

I'll be 22 on March 8th, 2008. I hope to match that by weighing in at 220...16 lbs less than this moment.

Is there a way to edit the poll so that the group "41-55" is "41-45". I guess, now that people have already entered their stuff, it might mess up the results. Anyways, just a thought.

I was going to comment on how surprisingly normal the distribution is. It's kind of cool. It seems to be centered somewhere up in the 40's.

Normal distribution gets real screwed up and not interpretable if the intervals are not equal. We have one interval at about 7 years, and one at about 20, the rest being 5, which would be interpretable.

exactly. But the 20 year interval is a typo, but it still screws things up because people probably clicked that one if they were 46-55 or whatever. That's why I said "I was going to say it was normal". I was going to say "the center looks like it's about......." then I noticed that screwed up interval.

At any rate, it's kind of surprising that the crowd here seems to be pretty heavily concentrated in the 40-60 range. Good thread, btw. Very interesting.

I'm going to put up a new thread with a revised poll to better reflect the demographic in an interpretable manner. ;)

I was speaking of the interval 60+, not the typo

We have folks on BFN up to 85 years old. Yet, they get the same "value" as someone 61 on this poll.

This means that a poll such as this is missing perhaps some vital and very interesting information concerning those over 60.

It also means you can't get a "legal" normal distribution.
