I am reading a book about the early tour (and subsequent) and I am sitting there reading this book thinking what the ****, why on earth would they want to, and then I think, hold on I do similar (in my own way) to myself, and I rarely feel good (unless I'm on the bike that is), so why? Well I think I do it cos I can, and wether it be grinding out a long climb, flying down a steep descent or even weaving in and out of traffic and thumbing my nose at all those stationery vehicles, I love the pain and the freedom it brings, cos I do and can.

So what about you?

Is the freedom of wearing no underwear, oh great pantie of the right wing persuassion?

Cause you're a dog. I'm serious. Dogs like to go fast, you like to go fast. Dogs like to run in packs, we just call them pacelines :D It's the joy of being alive, but faster......

Yeah, but dogs like to travel by sticking their faces into the wind like grinning & slobbering fools, and we cyclists... umm... wait...

Never mind. Woof! :D

Among the countless joys of riding a bicycle are the thrill of speed, the sense of accomplishment, the rush of endorphins, the fresh air and sunshine, the wonder of being alive, the pleasures of companionship on a group ride, and the quiet of solitude on a solo outing.

Having whitey tighties bunch up and chafe under your bike shorts detracts from the happiness that bicycling brings. Going commando is not an end in itself, but a means to a happy end.
