I just had a set of Tecktro mini V brakes installed on my Axis,($30/148gm/pr.) I saw a set on a Burley tandem and thought I'd try them. Stopping power is much increased over the Avid canti's. I'm using 105 sti levers without any kind of cam type adaptor and they feel pretty good, wheel changes should be easier to. Just thought I'd mention it in case anyone is looking for an alternative to cantis.

Glad to hear that you like them. I thought they worked quite well too.

I've seen those Tekro Mini v's they looked interesting and are designed to work with standard road brake levers. I'll have to take another look at them, and price is not bad on them at all.

I think Outland produce something similar as well.
