How tight do you want a helmet? I'm going to get a bell and it seems I could go either way between small and medium. The medium didnt slosh around or anything once I tightened it. The small seemed to grip my head as soon as I put it on. Should I have a little bit of room or should it be tight no room for anything else? Also, do companies sizes stay the same? In other words, will the bell phi medium from 2002 Im thinking about getting fit the same as a furio or ghisallo medium that I tried on? Thanks

You want your helmet on snug. When you try to move it around with your hands (straps adjusted), it shouldn't slide around. It should stay put on your head. If the medium moves around when you do this, go for the small. You don't want it moving on you if your head would hit the ground.

Also, if you stay within a company, the size measurements will stay the same. Be careful, though, if you go outside that company, its likely the measurements will be different.
