Recumbent - Fair price for a Burley Hepcat?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I'm guessing anyone on this forum knows more than I do about this, so, please: anyone want to comment on the following bike, the price, anything?
"This bike was purchased in 2002 for $1800. It is a Burley Hepcat Recumbent bike in excellent condition, aluminum frame, short wheelbase, upgraded schwalbe tires, 18 gears and has extra wheels and tires. Asking $900 or best offer."
I'd check on the condition of the drivetrain, wheels & tires. A new Bacchetta Giro 20 sells for $1395 and a used 2005 one is on BROL for $1100 and hasn't sold yet (http://www.bentrideronline.com/messageboard/showthread.php?t=35520) so it will probably go for $1000 or less.
You've got a difference of $500 from the used Burley to a new Giro 20 (http://www.bacchettabikes.com/recumbents/bikes/giro20.htm) and a difference of $100 to a 2005 Giro 20.
It wouldn't take much in the way of repairs/maintenance to eat up that difference and the newer Giros will have better drivetrains.
Thanks for both replies. Vik, your post reminds me to ask: can anyone tell me what the drivetrain on the 2002 hepcat is, and how newer ones differ? I can see from the photos that this one doesn't have disk brakes, which suits me fine.
18-speed? Did they remove the granny ring? Or, does it have a 6-speed cassette?
