Greeting from a new member, my name is Larry and I live in Florida. Just got back into road riding after a couple of years of riding mountain bikes. I work as a merchant mariner so my riding schedule is kind of hit and miss, work for 4 months straight and than I have 2 months vacation, hard to get into a training schedule this way but a lot of time to ride. A bad day on a bike is better than a good day at work.

Hi Larry, yes, I can see where your job would make it hard to get into a settled routine! What kind of job do you actually perform?

More importantly, what kind of bikes have you got?

Welcome to BF!

Thanks for the message. My job on the ship is that of bosun, which means that I am the supervisor of the deck department. Last time home I bought a Look 565 frame and have built it up with all Shimano Dura Ace, riding on Mavic wheels right now.

Let's see some photos of the bike!

I take it that you sail on the same ship each time?
