'Bling', my man, 'bling'.

And I can tell you it's a lot better than having to put up with pink and purple bikes with glitter :p !

I have purple on my bike. Something wrong with that?

No, I'm talking about stuff like this (http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/602-6797499-3451046?ASIN=B000EHNCXQ&AFID=Froogle&LNM=B000EHNCXQ|Girls_Schwinn_Jasmine_Bike__Pink_16"&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=B000EHNCXQ&ref=tgt_adv_XSG10001).

Purple as an accent is good. Dark, rich purple is great. Even pink is great, as long as it's a pink with depth.

But those putrid pastel pinks and purples....ugh. Especially with sparkles and glitter :p .

Edit: If you happen to see a different style bmx type as well, like a 1975 Yamaha Moto-Bike.

Doesn't WTP have a Yamaha Noto-Bike?

Fuzzbox and I know that the Women's Forum has a thread about the subject :p .

We're actually talking about sparkly streamers and all that other glop that gets stuck onto 'girls bikes'.

Barbies and My Little Ponys and crap...;) .

Easthill is hate'n on the Lavender bikes eh?

Also, please don't do this to a classic bmx like a Ripper or a Quadangle. Get an old all chrome BMX, throw on those wheels, bars an get a laid back GT post and you'll be set.

And yes Easthill, I do have a Moto-bike, but I'm restoring it.

Yeah, really!

WTP, your bike is a classic! We don't really mind purple and pink, we're just tired of seeing this:

That is just too ghastly.

Yes, well you know I am looking forward to a fine lookin' gorgeous red mixte. No sappy puny pink for me! Salmon pink, yes! Dusty rose pink, yes! But not Barbie pink :p .

At least not with white tyres/yellow rims, and I SWEAR that the chainring and pedal look like Donald Duck's head.

Fuzzbox and I want DRAMATIC colours :D .

Now, you see, if you got rid of the streamer things, the little butterflys, whatever those blue things are on the handlebars, and got rid of that dippy curve--it'd be ok.

What are those things on the spokes?

Those are little butterflys, aren't they  !

Is that one on the left a later-generation (no standing platform) S&M Sabbath? The dropouts don't look quite right, though, so maybe it's a Standard Shaman? Although the downtube looks a little thick for that frame...

It was a mystery up until a few weeks before I sold it.

I got it from a friend who's dad found it at the dump, it was beat but appeared solid. Strung off of it were all Mosh parts (sprocket, clamp, stem, pedals, grips, bar ends, seat and other stuff). I figured because of this it must be a Mosh bike. I did some research and the frame looked to be a Mosh Brass, I sanded it all down and painted it myself.

I ran it for a while as a beater bike, used on days where I didn't feel like taking out my MacNeil. I tossed a smaller sprocket on it when I put the Nankai on the back and my chain would no longer clear the dropouts so I had to cut them, when I did cut them I noticed a small stamp on one of them. After a little bit more searching it turned out to be nothing but an old Hyper BMX.

Mosh Brass

I don't know. I always remember the older Mosh frames having ovalized downtubes...

I have to say that the chrome on the Monarch would make for a most eye-catching bike with the blingy rims :D .
