The one that gets me up the hill.
Second; I like second gear. I'm also partial to overdrive, especially of the BT variety.

Gear ratios divisible by 3, but only because I have a strange Feng Shui compulsion.

I figure I bought them all I'm gonna love (and hate) them all equally.

I read an article some where (I think it was Bicycling Magazine) where a Shimano guy was saying how cross-chaining isn't an issue any more with newer chains unless, of course, you got the chain rub going on.

All of them.
2nd is great on the motorcycle.. in the car though, I might go with 3rd.

During everyday riding, not so much. During a race absolutely, I'll use any gear I can get into.

my favorite cruise gear ratio is 2 on the front, and 5 on the back.
I don't think I've ever cruised on my MTB. I'm either in the lowest gear it takes to get up a hill, or the gear that gets me going along a trail the fastest.
East Hill
well i havnt hit the trail yet lol, just peoples yards (oops) and a gravel rode, and around my block LOL
rode cruisng.

36/16
62/4 which engages light speed.
Can you explain to a newbie what all the 62/4 and 36/16 thing is? lol

What everyone is mocking you for, Cheeto, is that on every bike "2" and "5" are going to be different actual gears. So we can't compare. Go count how many teeth are on your chainrings and on each cog of your cassette, and get back to us.

You mean 34/16? Assuming you have a 42/34/24 and the SRAM PG-830 11-32 cogs are 11,12,14,16,18,21,26,32

Oh no, I don't do the mocking thing. That would be rude.

I try to keep up with a 90 - 110 rpm cadence. I have no idea what the tooth ratios are on my gears, but I'm usually in the higher gear ratios when on the road, lower gear ratios when on the trail (obviously).
Sometimes I ride around with a really slow cadence in high gear (like 70 rpm) - I know I shouldn't do it, but I do.
