Hi All:
I am new to this Bike Forum and just discovered it today ... I live in Lakewood and started a bike club in my Active Adult Community (Enclave) and have a few riders in the C+/B category (14 to 17 mph avg) and always looking for some more to join us ... I have a "no drop" policy and we do the pace of the slowest rider. We have a few that ride with us from our development and others from outside from Brick and Shore Area (Spring Lake, Manasquan, Brick, etc.). We would be happy to have you join us ... just give me a reply and I will keep you posted.
I ride if 40 deg or above in the winter and do the Spin Class at least once a week at Brielle Cyclery for 90 minutes where you bring your own bike and a trainer and go hard to keep in shape!! Our normal rides during the week are about 18 to 25 miles and on weekends about 35 to 100 miles. Did a century from Lakewood to Princeton and back in 7-1/2 hours riding time last summer. Have put on well over 3000 miles in the last year on my Cannondale T-800 Touring Bike and now lusting after a new Cervello R-3 full carbon. Let me know if you are interested and be happy to hear from others in this area as to what you are up to and what roads you ride.
I am 59 years old, 6'-4" and 275 lb ... have lost 140 lb over the last year and a half by eating less and biking MUCH more!! Feeling 30 years yourger! Love to hear from you ....
