Foo - Prayers, positive thoughts requested.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Early this morning while at work, my wife took a trip to the E.R. - dizzy spells, trouble breathing, etc. I guess it was about 4:00 AM. It took a few hours, but they eventually narrowed it down to pulmonary embolism -- that is, some blood clots that'd worked their way into her lungs, which they found via CT scan. As best we can tell, this is from complications with her surgery last week.
She won a most-expenses-paid weekend stay at Overland Park Regional Med. Center. We're not sure how long they're going to keep her there, but it's probably going to be a few days. Please keep us in your prayers, send positive thoughts, or whatever it is you believe in, if you would.

Lotsa Foo-love and Foo-energy comin' her way, ax0n! :o How are you doin'? ((hugs))
And please do keep us updated, as time allows....
Thanks guys. We're both (me included) kinda freaked out. She's in good hands, though, and at least they found the PE before it turned into something worse.
We were gonna go for a ride today, too. Freak heatwave hit Kansas City and it's 60 and sunny here, and now she's laid up in a hospital. Ultra lame, but obviously for the best. Plus, this might get her to kick her smoking habit (one can pray)

My thoughts are on their way.
axOn, check your PM's it may seem scary, which it really is. But now a days this is survivable. Expect a filter to be put in your wife which will help get rid of any future clots before they can do any damage, she will be on blood thinners for the rest of her life, but other than that she'll still be able to lead a normal life.
This happened to my father last January. As I said before feel free to PM me if you need to talk about this anymore. I know what you are going through and I send my best wishes to you and your wife.

Sending Foo-love, Foo-energy, and prayers. Get well soon, Mrs. ax0n. And ax0n, take care of yourself as well, she needs you healthy when she comes home.
Hang in there. I know it's scary but everything will be fine.
Thanks again, guys; I guess the prayers worked. She'd been on a blood thinner since about 7 this morning. They can't find any more clots (for example, after a doppler sonogram of her femoral veins and more CT work) so she got discharged tonight, but she has to go see a bunch of docs here in the next week or so.

Fantastic news! Hope the future tests and doc visits go smoothly as possible for her and that all is well in the future.
/reminds me, I need to make a doc appointment myself.
