So when I'm internet browsing my website loading will time out. I would say for 2 for every 5 pages time out. After I refresh one or two times the website loads properly, but its a big pain in general to go through the hassle. What is causing this? My computer?

Its cable...I cant tell if its the connection or the computer, but the other computer in the room that has the same setup really doesn't run into this problem, not as frequent at least. I thought it was my web browser at first, I was using regular Internet Explorer, and whenever a website would not load properly, or take an unusually long time to load, it would run a google image search. Bizarre I know. Especially with facebook, the results would yield some pretty lude, disgusting results. So I switched to Mozilla, and what I now get is a page that says "Your connection has timed out", so I that wasn't the problem. I using a gateway that I got for Christmas, I wanted a mac, but beggars cant be choosers. My mom has offered to bring it back, and get a mac, but I would have to pay the difference and I don't have that kinda guap. So I am stuck with this machine. In the error page it does say something about a firewall or a proxy; currently I have Macafee, it came installed on the computer so that what I use, is that the problem?

Do all this, plus TweakNow Reg cleaner and clear out your temp internet files.

Make sure you have your router's IP-address (usually 192.168.0.1 or some such) as the default-gateway in your computer's IP settings. They both should have the same subnet-mask as well, typically 255.255.255.0.
