Mountain Biking - Should I get a Trek 69er?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I went to my LBS yesterday and tried the GF Tass, GF Cobia and Trek 69er. The Trek 69er was awesome and I definitely liked it the most...it's just about $700 more than I was planning on spending. Anyone have a Trek 69er and how do you like it?
I've heard good things about it, dont own one myself though.

Great point, I was just looking for some convincing to justify spending the extra $700.
700 bucks extra, better quality, better components, so on so forth.
but all that means jack if it isnt comfortable for you.

I say buy the Trek, it looks pretty sick and I've heard nothing but good stuff about it. If you like it, go for it.
However, the component specs are pretty much the same as the $1,500 bikes, so...

Not sure there are too many sub-$1500 bikes with a Fox front end - thats a $650 front shock.
