Foo - Terry Symmetry?

I posted this in the Road forum too, but wanted the opinion of the women (and men) of foo:

My GF has suddenly got this idea that she wants to buy a bike. She is fairly new to riding but has decided that she wants to do a couple of sprint tris and maybe a few centuries with me. She is looking for a WSD and noticed that on the Terry website they have discontinued the Synergy and are selling them for $500 off ($1,300). The question is-anyone know anything about this bike? Is this a good deal?

I've never ridden one, and only rarely seen one. But, I've never heard any of the women who have one complain about them, and indeed, they seem to be highly praised in general.

I looked at Terry's site, but couldn't find a Synergy model, and Google wasn't helpful either (except to find this post and its sister post in Road).

It would appear that this bike does not exist! :eek:

The specs on Sheldon Brown's page about the Symmetry (http://www.sheldonbrown.com/harris/terry/symmetry.html) make it sound like a pretty nice bike.

Sorry you're not gettin' more responses, Pincher. Personally, I don't have experience with any WSD bikes because I'm way too tall. :o

Perhaps one of our ladies can take this to the Women's Forum for you, or link them to this thread, to see if some who might not otherwise frequent Road or Foo could help?
