Express a certain good thing, or something that made you feel good, something happened to you that doesnt happen everyday(positive of course) that made it either a good day, or not a bad day. Either way is fine.

I will go first.

My friend dragged me to a dance thing where they were selling raffle tickets, and I asked how much they were. The guy was busy so he responded by saying "One second." After he was done with one person he came to me and I asked him if he had change for a 5 second. Yep, that was awesome.

Also I found out my insurance carrier is most likely gonna give me full value for my cannondale that was recently stolen. Yep, good day.

Now you.

Well, it happened yesterday, at the funeral for the wife of a friend of mine. When I finally got to "greet" him in the long line of "well-wishers" after the funeral service, his whole demeanor perked up when he saw me, and I told him, "I know the road you're on -- call me...anytime." That made my day, to see a genuine smile cross his face, if only fleetingly.... :)

After months of inactivity, I got off my arse and went to a spin class. Not big, but a step against the demon of depression.

I woke up - seems pretty positive to me...

It is a start of a new year, all fresh and clean - we are past all the holiday silliness (it is okay but it does get tiresome after a while) and can get back to doing things.

I am absorbing all I can about aguaponics and permaculture right now and having a lot of fun. The local town has asked us to become a provider of doors, etc for them and the orders are just pooring into the woodshop we have. We need to hire more people already!

Yesterday i took my son to a local basketball clinic that was put on by a local college. The Elks club was also holding a free throw tournament. My son got second in his age bracket (8-9) in the free throw contest. During the clinic they had contests involving ball handling and who could thread the ball through there legs, around their waist and around their head the fastest. He won all of these contests, and there were probably around 50 kids there.

Everytime he won, this dude with dread locks would hoist him up in the air and run around screaming. My son was very proud as was I. I asked him if he learned anything on the way back out to the car. He said, "what do you mean?" I reminded him that last year at that event he was one of the slowest in the ball handling and that all of the practice he had put in made him the fastest this year. Seems like it sunk in so that was a pretty cool teachable moment.

Regardless it was good for the self esteem and he got a trophy to go along with it. :D

My three year old brought me his story Bible and began to tell me how it was his bible and how it helped him be nice to people. He had to put it in his backpack and take it to preschool with him today.

Hope it's not a public school or he might get suspended.

Sadly, that thought crossed my mind.:( even though it is a private preschool.

My yard guy is outside makin' my yard tolerable to look at. Seems that about all the leaves that are gonna fall have finally fallen, so he's on a mission now to uncover my yard. In exchage for money, of course. But the nice thing is that he doesn't gouge me, nor does he ever do unnecessary work just to get paid. :)

Just got back from a physical, blood pressure was good, cholesterol was good, EKG looked normal, still have not heard back on the status of the urine or blood samples. I bet they just toss them out and make something up. Oh, and my blood turns out to be red and liquid, not a green powder like I expected.
