You mean the MS Bike Race....Tour?? :D Did a 100 miles. Finished it around 1:30 PM. The pros, Team Berlting?, was driving the pace hard. Even before we hit NJ, we were considerably faster than last year. We were doing 20 mph. As soon as we hit the NJ side, we were doing 24 mph. A lot of riders got dropped by the rollers and failed to recover. The front pack started off with some 30+ riders. By the time we reached to the Alpin rest stop, we have some 15+ riders left. As we continued through 9W, we were dropped to maybe 12 riders. As we were heading back via 9W, we were dropped to some 7 riders. By the time we reached to the finished, the original pack was left with 5 riders. One of the pro riders got a flat so his teamates waited for him but we continued.
The ride was wet. There were many silly accidents because some newbies didn't know how to climb with the pack. One guy crashed because he hit a speed bump at some 16 mph. :D With the today's wet condition as well as the pros driving the pace, the pack manged to eliminate many weak riders in the beginning. Is a no BS day. The last time I rode so hard and this long was during my Spring/Summer long training days. :)
