Bicycle Mechanics - Carbon Bar Torque Values?
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I have FSA carbon bars and do not know how much to tighten the stem clamp. Anybody know the torque specs for this setup?

It will depend on the stem's configuration and whether it has two or four clamping bolts. I'd contact FSA for a recommendation.
The only published torque value I've seen for CF steerers or handlebars is 5 NM. That has become my "rule of thumb". If you can find better information use that instead. It is important to bring the torque up gradually alternating between bolts.

Good point, particularly with a 4-bolt face plate. Also, try to keep the gaps at the top and bottom of the faceplate even.
