I am looking for new tires for my bike. I want something that has a nice grippy feel, and is durable. The choices I have narrowed it down to are. Vittoria Open Corsa CX or Veloflex Pave. Any thoughts or other suggestions?

Vredestein Fortezza Tri Comp. Sturdy, light, fast, and grippy.

oh, there is a world of tires out there. I got the conti GP3000s. they are really nicely riding tires, a lot better then the IRC redstorms that I had before.

If you end up narrowing it down to vredestien, conti, or michelin, check out biketiresdirect.com. they got tires a crazy insane discounts.

I have a set of Vittorias right now. They have been great thus far. I only have about 300 miles on them though. No punctures, yet,,,,,,, knock on wood. :D

I have a set of Vittoria Rubino Pro on my one bike right now, been a excellent tire. Feels nice and fast, and no flast in over a month now! I also have a set of Vredestein Fortezza Tri Comp on my road bike, I like the higher pressure you get out of them.

According to Vittoria's website the Open Corsa EVO CX is a clincher and the Corsa EVO CX is a tubular.

Anyway, I have Vittoria Rubino Intrepid PRB Kevlar 3D Compound on my commuter. Great tire.

Yep. Open usually refers to clinchers, whether describing rims or tires. Another site to check out if you're looking at tires is http://www.worldclasscycles.com/. Good prices and good to do business with.

P.S. Hey, Ron, good tag line.
