Foo - Mudpuppy Alert!

This is my dog - Silky - looking for sympathy from the wife of one of our workers. If that look don't say "See what he puts me through..." He scored a plate of food by the way. :lol:

We were down at Quebradon today moving zinc using horses. The road isn't repaired yet (too wet) so we couldn't get closer than about 2 miles with the truck - so we used horses. It was time the horses got to do some work for a change.

And another one - nice view of horse and background. Normally it isn't this wet but the last 4 weeks have been soggy! Still nice, but we are in construction in Quebradon and it sure gets mucky...

I brought a temperature guage with me today - I know Heather wants to know the temperature - but I don't know if the rest of you can take it....

It was 71 with a nice breeze... Does it get any nicer?

Oh, before Silky was allowed back in the truck he got washed off in a stream. :lol: He wasn't so happy about that! After we dropped off the truck Nelson gave me a ride to the office on the ATV while holding Silky - Silky didn't want to get off the ATV afterwards...

Sorry - Ticoism, Zinc means tin roof material. We have two families living on the finca now - one below and one above. Neither house was worth much, but they were strong enough. So, we are fixing them up to make them a little more livable. (a lot more liveable!)

One family asked if they could move into the house below (million dollar location, 5 dollar house!) and we noticed that:
a. The roof seriously leaks
b. They had no furniture

The Zinc isn't that expensive for a house of that size - about 600 dollars and the labor is about two days. We have the wood shop making them furniture. A husband, wife and 4 kids.

The upper family is a young man and his wife. Nice couple.

Only stupid business owners don't. They truly are you best resource. You take care of them, they take care of you.

But then again, we are in this for the long haul - not like some MBA clown who wants to **** a company and its workers to retire at 30. :(
