Gregg's Greenlake has long-sleeved Nike Merino Wool (100%) jerseys (as seen here (http://www.nike.com/index.jhtml?l=nikestore,pdp,_pdp,cid-100701/gid-114362/pid-114362&re=US&co=US&la=EN)) on clearance for $39.99. There were ~10 left when I picked mine up yesterday. It's a nice looking piece of kit at an amazing price. Gravy: each sale nets the Lance Armstrong Foundation $1.

A rack of them were still available this afternoon when I was in...looked nice and comfy for those who dig the wool...

I bought one just before Xmas, and liked it so much I went got back another. Now one of my favorite pieces of cycling wear. I think they must have gotten a closeout deal from Nike.

I do like the extra touch of the yellow band. Nice. Thanks for the heads up.

I went there yesterday, and bought two. They still have some smalls, a few medium and a dozen or so XL's.

Thanks for the tip. I picked one up today. Looks like there were about 3 Lg and 11XL's left.

Greenlake.
I was in there today and they still have at least a dozen. I saw L and XL, didn't notice what other sizes.

Yep, the greenlake store. Dave, they had about 11XL's left. $109.99 marked down to $39.99, nice.

I'm tempted but I think next week when I move to Austin I won't need it when it is in the 60's.

That's right I now have a moving date, 1/17 I fly out. Hopefully my bike will make the move ok.

Boy, I would check with some of the Texas folks about that! There are days when it sounds pretty cold there.

I just picked one up and they're a good deal for $40, but I'm not surprised they didn't sell at $110. Also, the XL is not terribly generous - I usually wear XL and the wish the sleeves were slightly longer.

Best wishes in your new venture. Instead of hills you'll have to deal with the heat?

I had the same concern...I've got long arms, and the the sleeves weren't long enough. After the first wash, I stretched each sleeve ~1" and laid the jersey out flat to dry. Wool is a great flexible/stretchable fabric. This worked so well, in fact, that I just bought another and repeated the procedure. They key is to lay it out flat and let it dry.

Thanks for the sweet deal alert. Picked one of these up at Gregg's Alderwood.

Sleeves are a little short so I'll try stretching them out.

BTW, these jerseys are still in stock at Gregg's Greenlake (was there tonite). There must be a bottomless pit somewhere full of this stuff. I also have seen the Nike stuff sold at closeout prices on the Trek online store, and on eBay as well. There are some other patterns of the wool jersey on sale at eBay, some for auction and some at a buy-it-now price of $54.99.

Unfortunatly no, but I'm seriously thinking about STP. Are you hitting it again this year?

I am - probably one day again. With a little training you shouldn't have any problems. I found it easier to train for it last year when I registered early and made that commitment.
