So my bike has been a little dirty lately and I thought she needed a bath.

She loves being dirty. But not as much as she loves having her body washed off in a nice hot shower. That's it big girl. Wash that dirtyness off.

I’d be a dead man if I washed my bike in the tub.

erm
well i know a puddle is much damage but i just figured a shower might be a tad bad, unless you blow dried the ol' girl also =p

No blow dryer here. Just a nice towel down.
Washing the mud off with water is better for the bike then leaving the mud on btw. Don't be afraid to dive that new bike of yours off into a mudhole.
Oh, so its ok to hose em down then?
Just didnt think it would be best for the bike.
oh trust me, not afraid to get them muddy lol.
well. now that i think about it, if its lubed good it should repel water from the moving parts lol

unless it's really muddy and the muds dried on to the frame, a nice wet rag does fine with some Pedro's Bike Lust on the frame and fork afterwards to make her shine. Along with a chain cleaning and a fresh layer of Purple Extreme.

Good for the bike. Not so good for the plumbing.

I must admit it has performed beyond my expectations. It looks like you have better wheels and components than I do, though.

Just a few unnecessary upgrades. Well, almost. The wheels make a difference.

I have had lots of problems with the wheels. The stock tires were especially crappy.

I agree totally on that. This prompted the wheel and tire upgrade.
Do you own the place or rent?
Rent.

I live in and apartment and I don't have a water hose.
Don't forget to spray the chain down real good with WD-40......:D

LOL Wd-40.
So that's what people mean when they refer to water sports in the shower or tub. I always wondered about that.

You might be a Mt Biker if you hear from the bathroom "Honey,Could get the bike outta the tub so I can take a bath"
WD40 attracts dirt tho
If you ride faster you don't have to worry about dirt on the chain....;)
