Southern California - Whatcha Drinkin'?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I searched and searched for a thread that I know exists here in SoCal-land but couldn't find it. So I'm making a new one!
Tell me what you're drinkin'.... right now or what you've been enjoying recently.
Right now I have a Port Brewing Old Viscosity Ale. <slurp> Yumm-o!
Nothing but water until I burn off the weight I put on during the wonderful festivities in Charlotte, NC.

I had some of Old Viscosity once, and immediately took nap.
Sorry to hear it, Billy. It was so worth it, though, hanging out with those Charlotte BikeForums members.

How much did you end up gaining? I read your report through 12/30... that was the last you had posted the last time I checked. Need to go back and read the rest. Sounds like you guys had a great time and they took very good care of you. :D
SCOTCH... I cannot believe that this bottle has lasted me since before Christmas!

Well, I left the western NC mountains a slim roadie. 1.5 days later, I had become a bit "pudgy", as the picture below clearly shows.

I certainly didn't leave the western NC mountains that way. And that's before an abundant feast of pulled pork sandwiches that night, multiple beers, and some champagne. Or steak with VegaVixen for lunch the following day.
I don't know how much weight I gained, but it definitely was a lot. Maybe 5 pounds? And I'm not sure how much I drank, but I'm pretty sure I haven't drank that much in a 2.5 day span since before grad school.

I saw that pic and the comments that followed. :D I look forward to meeting VV when she comes out here!
Good on them for keeping you well "libationated" (is that really a word?) and stuffed full of good food. :D
Minute Maid Juice, it's purple and new. I think it has pomegranate and blue berries. I just call it "brain juice" because it says something about helping your brain.

UB40 is more my generation!
As to details, both setting up the Xmas tree and taking it down we have a family tradition of getting loaded. We have been taking that darn tree down for four days now!

UB40 or Neil Diamond?
Even Neil performs it in the UB40 style now (at least he did when I saw him in concert a dozen or more years ago!)
Oh BTW at work, so I just finished a large coffee from the Living Room.
My daughter and son-in-law just returned from the holiday's in the frozen northeast with several bottles of McGillicutty's that I am going to have to sample...

The one on Rosecrans and, Cabot, I think? I like their coffee but hate the parking lot.

Yup. I have a little car, so can get in and out of their driveway pretty easily. If you are lucky, you can sometimes catch street parking (though I think it is a red curb right in front).

Today?
So far, about a liter of water, and three cups of "Earl Grey, hot." </scifi-geek>
Recently?
Got my brother a bottle of Ardbeg for xmas, so we had to try that. Yum.
I was recently craving a gimlet, so I picked up some gin, while I was at BevMo for the Ardbeg.
Right next to each other on the shelf they had two different size bottles of Bombay Sapphire: 1.75L - $29.99, 1L - $28.99.
Wtf? I even asked at checkout, and it wasn't a pricing mistake. Weird. I wanna know who the suckers are that are buying the 1L bottles.
So yeah, I've got plenty of Bombay Sapphire now. It's Martini Time!
Also still working on a 12-pack of Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale that I picked up shortly before Christmas.

I was drinking my Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale from the taps in the Sierra Nevada Brewery restaurant in Chico over the holidays, as well as their Brown Ale, which is awesome. Hoping they will actually bottle that one sometime so we can get it down here.
Chocolate milk with Pick up Stix- Orange peel chicken W/O water chestnuts and brown rice. Post ride meal and it's so stinking good.
Apropos to the forum!!

Nice buttery taste at room temp. More crispness with some hints of pear more prominent, when chilled.
