Thursday nights are perfect for me. This sounds like a great idea: I can't do any tricks, but I sure can drink!

part of the idea i had is that even if we can't do tricks, drinks will help ease that feeling, and those who know something can teach those who don't.

but whatever happens, i can see fun being a result. and i like fun, i don't know about anyone else.

do you guys wanna do the thursday thing this week? i get outta work at 9 and am so down

I'm down, don't have a fixed to ride currently so I will be lacking in the trick department till I get my wheel back. Im down to tag along though. It will probably start out as a ride to find a decent spot.

do any of you have an account on considerbiking.org? i just came across their site today, and was unaware columbus had their own bike friendly forum.

i dont post on considerbiking but i do lurk that forum

its a pretty good resource for local bike info but it seems kind of lacking in the overall posting. i guess i should stop lurking and *****ing about no one else posting and start posting myself and hopefully igniting more discussion

yeah, i'm down for this week.

i may be out for future weeks; in fact, probably will....i've received word of a friend's death in portland and will be heading out there for a memorial and such things.

i just brought up this idea, i hope people have fun with it and keep it going.

I think it may be best to wait off a few weeks for a meet in cbus. There is a major snow storm coming thursday it will be about 3 degrees according to the news.

by the way, is that ride or gathering still on this evening? or has it been postponed due to chilly weather and the possibility of snow, which doesn't bother me. i've told one or two people about it and we're enthused to the idea.

Well as of now ( I havent talked to anyone yet) I think isn't going to happen. I am (and everyone) is still def. interested but weather is ****ty right now. Id say give it a week or two not sure.

it's 9. if anyone gives a ****, the weather's perfectly fine. probably should have just made plans and stuck with them. oh, well. too bad i don't feel like putting my phone number up, then we could pull something together.

Last night turned out to be a bad night. My gf came into town and we had dinner together and watched Juno at the movies. Otherwise, I think next week will be better. I think we should come up with a location and time, so I'm just going to throw something out there, and we'll go from there.

B1 bicycles (there are a ton of empty lots at night around Long, and it's pretty quiet and dead), 8pm. Thursday.

also really pot-holey. third street is dead at night, there's a parking garage near there with an entrance on oak that i've gone up top of and messed around on before.

behind the library, actually behind the deaf park, is a long, straight relatively smooth spot for skids and a fairly large parking lot.

I'd be down for tricks and drinks, but I can't ride for another month... finally got that huge hole in my leg patched. I think a parking garage would be great, also there are some parks near downtown with smooth concrete areas. Chicago does something similar and I think parking garages are the place of choice.

this is a photo of my old old bike (top left). Got a new bike then it was destroyed two days later... along with the purple wheel set.

the thursday night tricks have not gone down so far because of the weather. some fun might be had, but a big thing has seemed unlikely, so no one's really come out. it seems to be getting nicer finally, though this week it seems we still have one cold wet/snowy thursday left. i'm getting **** ready, though. i'll probably have to use my fg mtb at first, my "track" bike is so not set up to do tricks with 80.5 gi.

also, not this saturday but the next: lucky stride alleycat.

today seems rad. b1 at 7ish? 125 e. long street downtown, we can all just meet there. 45ish tonight which is better than we've had for some time.

The mass will bike around town and stop in at Sporeprint Infoshop and Third Hand Bike Co-op for dinner, films, pre-partying and all that good ****! From there we will bike-swarm down 5th to the VDC to join the IMA Gallery goers for a Dance Party into the night.
