Hello Bike Forums Members,

My name is AJ and I'm a college student looking for a new bike to ride (gas prices ). It's been about 4 years since I last owned a bike so I'm not a serious rider by any means but I have a feeling if I stick around here long enough that may change. I came across this site while doing some google searches for bikes. This site has proven helpful already so I thought I'd do my part and register to say hello and thank you. HELLO and THANK YOU! :D

Hello AJ, yes, we do tend to change perceptions around here when it comes to bikes :) .

Where are you located, and what kind of bike are you looking at?

Welcome to BF!

Hi East Hill,

I am currently located in Gainesville, FL for school but my permanent home is West Palm Beach. I am considering a folding bike because I live in an apartment but it doesn't necessarily have to be a folder. I just want something small and comfortable since I'm a female. I don't really know a whole lot about bicycling besides the basics so I can probably be "sold" on any bike right now.

Folders are good! Especially for apartment dwellers. A nice road bike can be relatively lightweight, but will perhaps still be a bit bulky for an apartment.
