Road Bike Racing - Felt F2.. Anybody racing on this frame?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Might be able to get a deal on the frame but wondering how it rides. Theres not a shop around that has an F1 or F2 in stock (and to be honest a test ride dosent tell me that much).

Anybody racing on one?

There is a small american team not many have heard of ;) but they race on F1 and seem to do ok. I think it would be a fine frame.

Hint:
(Slipstream)

Just because a pro team races on a frame dosent mean its the right frame for me.... I'm not saying a BF opinion on a product would make or break the deal either. Not looking for the "Lateraly stiff yet vertically compliant" review of a pro team rider paid to give that information to the public but instead real world opinion by guys like us that have to pay for products.

and how does that differ than anyone elses opinion for YOUR riding style and geometry. Even if you take two identical riders in every measurement one may still have less flex or a different pedal style which may lead to to different bikes. So in the vague nature of your questions:

Is someone racing them?
Yes slipstream!

I'm racing a Felt FC (Slipstream version of the F1), same geometry as the F1, just with a different layup. I've had it since October and love it, it's a fun bike to ride. The aggressive geometry (smaller head tube, longish top tube) make the bike quick and responsive. I've had no issues with stiffness or anything. I don't know exactly what info you're seeking, it climbs well, sprints well, and looks cool.

Speaking of Slipstream...

I saw DZ about an hour ago at Peet's Coffee in Brentwood. My teammates and I said hi and he chatted with us for a minute. Real nice guy. He was on his way to start a ride up in the Santa Monica mountains and said he was going to be training in LA for a while. Who knows, maybe he'll show up to the Pier ride or Simi in the next few weeks.

alex called me around 11:15 telling me to get my ass to Peet's. I had already gotten back from my ride

Glad you didn't. There's a difference between saying "hello, I'm a fan" and being invasive. We said hi, and he came over later and chatted as he was getting ready to leave.

He was riding an F1 btw, not an FC. I'm guessing they haven't received their bikes for 2008?

It does say that the frame won't hold you back or affect how you place in a race just like 99.9% of the frames out there.

something, something all comes down to the engine....
