Mountain Biking - can someone id this bike for me?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. I'm not sure if that's right, you know, since it doesn't say it anywhere. ;)
Giant Canyon DS - - about an '05 model. Descendant of the Warp DS series.

thats what i was looking for thanks dminor. i can tell its a canyon but checked mtbr.com and several other sites and the seller said it was a newer model so i checked the 08-06 catalogs and didnt find a comparable bike. i wasn't thinking 05 as a newer model.
those guys are just too funny
I did some more digging - - it was HARD to find. Giant's worldwide web site will take you to any distributor country. From there, you can access archival catalogs from about 2002 to 2006. I finally found that model on the Poland site (they evidently did not offer that model in North America or most of Western Europe for that matter):

Most of the spec table is actually readable. Good luck.
Ask for a lower price. I wouldn't pay $400 for that bike.

I'll be serious this time. I would think $200 would be a fair price, maybe even lower depending on how much use. For a 2005 (thanks Doug) model with low components, that might even be high. I would think you could get a new bike for $400 with low end components. Check your local shops and see if they have stuff from last year. Good luck.

Maybe the bike is normal-sized, but the chair rail in the house is just really high...
400 bucks, can get a trek 3900 or a 4300 lol
+ or - a few 10's lol

If you have 400 bucks to spend you are way better off getting a new entry level hardtail. Otherwise, I would agree with rankin; ask for a lower price.

thanks guys, the frame is 18". your right on the chair rail i think it is rather high come to think of it. So any where from 200 - 300 is an ok buy, not a great deal. 150-200 is good.

I am a Giant fan but I would say the same- This is a low grade suspension bike that will not be an easy ride- I'd forget it. Any Hardtail would give a better ride- Unless you don't get seasick from the Bobbing that would take place on every pedal stroke.
