Okay, I referenced two light reviews in a previous thread. Well, this one is completely posted. Read to your heart's content.

The single emitters are:
DiNotte 200L,
Light and Motion Stella 180-L,
NiteRider Minewt.X2,
NiteRider Solmate,
Exposure Lights Joystick MaXx

The dual emitters are:
NiteRider MiNewt.X2 Dual,
DiNotte 200L Dual,
Exposure Lights Race MaXx,
Knog Gator 605,
BR Lights C2.1H,
Ay Up lights LCP4N in both spot and intermediate versions,
BR Lights Jeni-H

The large array lights have more than two emitters. Last winter, that meant three or four emitters. Now, there are as many as seven! They are:
Lupine Betty,
DiNotte 600L,
Lupine Wilma,
NiteRider TriNewt,
Exposure Lights Enduro MaXx,
Light On! Expedition 1000,

Well, after a quick review I think I can sum their conclusion into one word. That one word is: DINOTTE. Dinotte won the single emitter and large cluster category and compared favorably in the dual cluster. They did not say specifically, but it appeared the Dinotte finished third in the dual emitter category behind the BR Lights C2.1H and the Enduro Lights Race Maxx.

And you cannot beat Dinotte's upgrade history and much less expensive replacement batteries with the insanely long runtimes. If I were purchasing in today's market with the knowledge and experience that I have, I would purchase the Dual 200L with taillight for $429. The 600L with taillight for $479 and the 600L/200L/taillight combo for $599 are worth a look also. The 4-cell battery could power the bar and taillight and the 2-cell could power the helmet light. I would have paid less money for the Dinottes and have total compatability with all my lights and brighter rear visibility. The rear taillight seems too bright for group riding but I would find a way to make it work. The bottom line is that IMHO the Dinotte should be on everyone's short list. If I were as wise as my riding buddy, I would have purchased this configuration last year and taken advantage of their upgrade offer this year. I almost pulled the trigger and wish that I had. Oh well, my lights will wear out eventually and then I can make a better informed decision.

I am partial to self-contained lights and no wires, but the Exposure Lights Enduro Maxx and Joystick combination is over $200 more expensive or the Br Lights C2.1H and Jeni-H combination would cost around $130 more. And with both combinations I would still have to add taillight(s).

Read the reviews and see what you think. Wow, I could have had a Dinotte!

Oh wait, how about 2 fenix flashlights and some tailights. Don't get me started! I can't wait until they include these in the review and get a comparison. Now that would have been interesting!

Maybe, but it's nice having options. I went with the Wilma and after reading the review, I'm confident I made the right decision.

Thanks for the link!

When I started doing these light shootouts three years ago, it was easier to pick the winners. So much has changed -- for the better -- since then that it is getting harder and harder. There are quite a number of very good lights out there. paulrad9, the Wilma is a very nice light.

Great! Certainly no arguement here.

Yes, and they have already have had two comments requesting the inclusion of the Fenix flashlights. I can feel it, there is momentum building. It is only a matter of time before the Fenix is legitimate! Not implying that it is illegitimate now. But the reviewers are getting the message and will soon catch up with us!

Here's a link to the light reviews that have been posted to date. There has not been a new post yet for today. But they have been consistently posting them on a daily basis, so fear not!

I thought I would bring this to the top one more time. This review and Roadbikereview.com's current shootout review are great sources of information and opinion. One of them has some pretty good video demonstations and commentary on the lights. I viewed Dinotte and Enduro Light presentations. If there are more, list them here, please, so we can all view them.
