thanks for the link, it was a good lunchtime read. I'd love to do a lot more off-season (pre-and post racing) season around my local area, but unfortunately, just about all of the trails are off-limits to bikes.
Did we note that the author of the article rode and recommended a Motobecane Fantom CX?

Great article. I feel some 'crossers put too much emphasis on racing and not enough on just riding, like mountain bikers or even roadies do. This article describes very well the type of riding I most enjoy.
(Racing is fun too).
Cool article. Yeah cross bikes go way beyond just racing. They make great commuter bikes too.
