I am riding an old pair of rolphs vector pros, prior to the Trek buy out. They are very light and fast. I was got them as a gift from my father in law he spent about $600 for the set. Luckily they never went out of true or suffered any ill since using them for the past 5 yrs.
What ya riding?

currently on Am. Classic 420's 'cause i got a HELL of a deal from the lbs. they were my first REAL wheelset and i've put about a year on them. i've got to step it up this tri season and get something a bit more aero and carbon. anyone have any thoughts on good carbon wheels and non-ridiculous prices?

<------ I'm riding that. I don't know how much faster I am with these, but they sure do look cool.
My everyday wheel was custom. Velocity Deep Vs, Sapim CX Ray spokes and Ultegra hubs. I had them custom made because it's hard to find premade wheels in 650. They're not the lightest, but then again, no one really needs a light wheel when they're training. I bought them to replace some Alex wheels that went bad rather quickly.

Check out the Bikes Direct group buy, they have a bunch of wheels very cheap. Also, Soul Bikes will be doing a group buy soon, check out their website, they have great prices.

Xero Lite XR1 on the road bike
Deep V + Sapim double butted spokes + Ultegra hubs on the commuter (i count commuting as training) :) built by www.spinlitecycling.com
Deep V + generic spokes (from LBS) + Formula (rear) and 105 (front) hubs on the fixed gear
I'm planning on picking up either just a rear or full HED3 wheelset for racing along with the track conversion kit so i can use it on either my roadie or fixed gear. :)
Otherwise, i'm planning on sticking with handbuilt wheels with reliable non-exotic parts for all my future builds this year... I'll assemble them and then have the LBS true/tension them.

how do you put a picture there? I want to post a photo but Lack any clue as to how?
Any advice??
Sweet wheels by the way
Race wheels
All still 8 speed until I can upgrade to a new disc due to it being a cluster not freewheel. Also all are tubulars...
Rear - Zipp 950 disc which I have not swapped out to a spoked wheel since I bought it back in 2002. Regardless of how windy the conditions I have never felt the need.
Front (and rear back up) - Campagnolo Shamal's mid 90's silver version, also 8 speed using a Campagnolo cassette using Shimano width spacers. Picked up as NOS hanging on my LBS wall gathering dust back in 2000. Although heavy and only 41mm depth, they rated high back in the day aerodynamically and roll very smoothly.
Once I start running 10 speed (rest of the bike including chain is 10 speed Dura ace - except the bar end shifters which are also 8 speed) I have a Corima freehub body already which will allow me to convert and run them as 10 speed.
I have just recent bought a Hed Stinger 90 front wheel, yet to glue on the tire.

Currently I'm using the same 3 years old Mavic Equipe wheelset for both road and tri bikes. I'll buy either the Hed Jet 60 or the Mavic Cosmic Carbon SL Premium wheelset for my tri bike. I'll use them as my racing and training wheels and have a hard time deciding which ones.
These, although I just ordered a Stinger 90 front, so the trispoke is gone.

One sweet ride, nice stuff all around. I see bikes like yours and feel weak as I hop upon my old school roadbike with aero bars:):). Have a good year of racing
Hed 3s. Hoping to get a matching new Hed disc when they are released.
Have you seen the pricing yet? Like 1400 for the Jet disc/1600-1700 for the Stinger. The Standard or lite discs are clearly the winners in this category IMO. And FWIW, the Jet disc should be released within the next few months, but they are having some decent enough issues with the Stinger disc that they have put the current design on hold right now. They're working on it, but I didn't get the optomistic vibe from them.
I was planning on running an H3 deep and bulge disc for 08, but even for a sponsored athlete it was a bit much.
These, although I just ordered a Stinger 90 front, so the trispoke is gone.
Why no love for the Hed3? Did you get tired of it, or just wanted something new?
I switched back to tubulars, and was going to get the H3 Deep. Then there was a wait, and some other things, blah blah. So, I started really looking at wind angles on the courses I ride. Hed and I went over a bunch of wind angles for the courses I typically race on. We decided that very few times will the wind angles be over 15 degrees, which is where the H3 shines. So I decuded ti give the Stinger a try and see where it got me. I love the H3, but just trying to figure out what works. If I don't like it, I can swap back to the H3 next year.
im very happy with my hed s stinguer v90 and v60
