Gina and I will be riding with FThomas from the stadium on Saturday (25 miles). Slow relaxed pace, gotta save my energy for Sunday.:p
Hey Mr. Beanz, what time are you going? I thought you always went later. Would love to join you and Gina sometime.

The truth is MrBeanz has to slow down to my very humbling pace. I'm embarrassed, but I'll be there!

But he gives great draft!!!
ke_jones2000 (http://www.bikeforums.net/member.php?u=102768) Does it have to be SART? I'm riding that day about 60-65 miles but a different route with hills if you want. Route starts at a park by Limonite and the 15 moving east to El Camino(up and over) then to Sierra(up and over), over to Rancho to climb to the top of Haven, down to Chino Hills to crush their little hill(Soquel Canyon, Payton, Grand , and Chino Hills Prkwy), and back to the park.

We usually start about 9:30-9:45. On Saturday it will be 9:30 at the firestation/leaky faucet!:D A short ez 25. Gina's been off a while and I'm doing GMR on Sunday. It'll take all I got to get up that hill!:o

During a strech, I can get my speed up to 20 mph but then I wake up and my speed come back down to 17. Some riders love to ride above 20, but I can't ride that fast for 40 mph. :D

I too find it is easier just to follow the lead of MrBeanz. He is a very consistent rider that sets a good pace. He can really move when he wants too but he is content to lead the pack. :D

I think it's more that if I go too fast Gina gets mad any yells at me. And that really hurts my feeling!:p
Your bike is a hybrid? I thought it was a roadie with straightbars. If so, get a full on roadie, you'll pick up your average some in the longrun. Your bike really moves though!

40 - 60 miles sounds good! Saturday would be best for me. From where are you starting? Hopefully I can meet some of the other SoCal members during the ride as well.

I was thinking of driving  to a place inland then ride to the beach and back, meeting with k_j2000 at the beginning the ride.
Is this on again for this weekend too? If so I'm in on Sat. starting from Green River. I think it's around 70 miles from there.(to and from)

Pizza?...I always stop at the end of the trail, first reststop in HB. End of the trail and back is 60.
60 it is. is it on again? If it is, is green River good and can we get Pizza in NewPort(not 60 anymore)? Z Pizza is really good. I'm just fishing.

I pm'd Ke_jones lastnight. Told him inquiring minds want to know. I pm'ed him so that he would know that others are interested, cause he's not a constant poster like some of the others here.:p
I'l prolly be in the hills that day, maybe!:D

So some are starting at 8am at Green River?
I plan to be there, but where exactly around there?
Thanks!
If kj2000 plans to be elsewhere, since he's the op, I'll try to meet him there.

If kj2000 plans to be elsewhere, since he's the op, I'll try to meet him there. There is a Golf course(Green River Golf Course) with parking right before/at the entrance to SART. Parkings more like a small dirt lot.

Don't leave anything of value or in the open in your vehicles at the Green River end of that bike path. I've seen a lot of window glass in that parking area.
thanks for the heads up crit

I was really looking forward to meeting the Beanzs, et al. It was great rolling with Kevin until Honda Center. It was at HC that Kevin realized I had broken a spoke on my back wheel. The sound bugging me was the wheel/tire rubbing the chainstay.
It was turning out to be a very good day, and am sorry I missed the rest of it!

Beanz and Gina sighting verified....:D
Well actually I just saw Gina and only "wondered" if it was her I wasn't sure. I yelled Hey at you guys 'cause I almost always greet other cyclists. I didn't have my bell yesterday...:p
