Hi! I'm traveling to China around mid-March, and while there, I'd like to buy a good folding bike. Can anyone suggest a shop in Beijing or Shanghai that sells these?

Sisu Cycling in Shanghai. Run by expatriates.

Look them up on google. Can't remember the exact address.

Hi,
.
Here are links to shops, et al, in Hong Kong, my favorite
Asian city and second home, birthplace of my twins.

BikeAsia is all about bicycle touring in Asia and apparently
organizes tours all over East and SouthEast Asia.
.
I lived in Hong Kong for 15 years (and Vietnam for a year)
but haven't cycled in Asia. However, one tour I'd love to
do is Japan's Shikoku Pilgrimage on a bicycle. The pilgrimage
is a 1,000 km circumnavigation of Shikoku, Japan's
southernmost main island, with visits along the route to
its 88 8th Century Budhist temples. I did a portion of the
pilgrimage through Kochi Prefecture in 1977 on foot but saw
many young cyclists doing it along Shikoku's well-maintained
roads.
