Right now i have a nashbar cargo trailer for bulky or heavy hauls that are a pain to load into panniers or milkcrates. No real complaints except the load capacity of 45 pounds. I am really starting to wonder if its even worth having a trailer that can haul so little.

When reading through the posts the other day I noticed a few mentions of CETMA racks and I checked out their site, awesome! Looks like with the 7 I could easily carry the same weight as the trailer and not have to mess with hooking up the thing everytime, cursing myself for leaving it at home when I come across a "find" etc.

Your thoughts???

Here are links to both for reference:

I'm considering getting one of those for my front rack on my xtracycle. I had a nashbar front rack/back which was great till it broke :(
The CETMA rack doesn't look like it would hold as much as the nashbar trailer but if you weren't going to fill the trailer or to use in combination with the trailer it looks like a great addition.

This is one of the biggest strengths about semi-permanent or permanent carrying modifications like baskets, Xtracycles and apparently, these CETMA racks. Having it there, its the best part without a doubt, and the #1 reason I absolutely adore my Xtracycle over my old setup. I would imagine that this would be just like that, only on a smaller scale. Its something you'll really appreciate.

Now, the only thing I don't like about front end systems is that you have to be pretty careful to not allow your cargo to shift around, it can be *really* dangerous if it does and it has enough mass to argue with you.
