Hi All - I'm looking for a mid-80's - early-90's Bottecchia Columbus SLX or TSX bike or frame, 54-56cm C-C. These are the frames with the chrome rear triangle, lugs, and fork. PM me if you have one or know of one for sale.
Thanks
Derrick

Hi Kommisar89, I have a 55cm late 80's Bottecchia SLX, Red, White, and Chrome. The chrome is in unbelievably good condition. The paint work does have some chips here and there. The frame was covered in lacquer, this is what protected the chrome for so long, but it made the frame look dull and the lacquer was scratched in places. I carefully removed from the chrome and it really looks like new. I'm preparing the frame for sale on eBay - as usual with these things, don't really want to sell but I've over extended myself on a new Pegoretti and something has to give! It has a very nice Campagnolo Chorus/Record headset. The attachment is from when I first got the bike (only frame/forks/hs for sale) pre lacquer removal and with the wrong wheels (bike came with original Chorus and Campag rims - if you're interested in whole bike let me know).

Hi cafe_mitad -
Is that 55cm C-C? It looks a bit taller in the picture but it's hard to tell. I'm definately interested. Can you provide some additional details and pictures? I'm a bit concerned about the lacquer you mention so I'd like to see some close ups with good lighting. What is the top tube length? The whole bike might be better than just the frame/fork if you are interested in selling it that way. Are the rims clincher or tubular? How much are you looking for?
