Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Help with a new build?

So I posted this in the track subforum and got no help so sorry about the crosspost but I'm hoping some of you guys might be able to help me.

I've decided I would like to begin track racing. I've ridden fixed on the street but only on a conversion. I'm on somewhat of a budget and ideally, I'd like this build to cost <$1000 but I might end up going over by a bit.

So here's what I'm thinking.

Frameset:
Kilo TT frameset via BikeIsland
Soma Rush
Bareknuckle

Now I know the Bareknuckle is definitely the best out of the three. However, it is also a bit more expensive and I was wondering if it is worth the extra price. The Rush is also a bit more expensive than the Kilo TT and looks very appealing on paper. Would this be a better choice?

Hubs:
Suzue Promax
Dia Comp Gran Compe
Miche Primato Pista

I hear good things about all of these. Which is the best value? Am I better off getting Formulas

Rims:
Tubular or clincher?

If tubular, I'm probably going to end up with Mavic Reflex. If clincher, I will go with Open Pros. Any other ideas?

Cranks:
Sugino 75's

Any other suggestions in 144 BCD(I don't wanna shell out for Dura-Ace or Campy)?

BB:
Here's where I'm kinda lost. 75 is ISO and it seems like my only choices are either Campy or corresponding NJS parts. I don't wanna pay for the NJS BBs so I guess what I want to know is whether Campy makes mid level BBs(Centaurish) in appropriate spindle lengths.

Pedals:
I'm going for Look style but that's all I have at this point. Suggestions welcome.

Cockpit:
I'd like to run deep drop track bars but beyond that, I know little. Suggestions for both threaded and threadless systems welcome. I want this bike to be a general use track bike, probably focusing on sprints and that kinda stuff.

I'm not sure about the frame- but loose ball hubs, tubular wheels for lower rolling resistance since you can inflate them to higher pressures, and I believe sugino makes a lower level 68mm BB with a 109mm spindle, I think it's called the sugino mighty bb, it's like ~$60-65.

Sounds like a cool bike. I'm doing something very very similar with a Kilo TT Pro frameset. I don't think the Bareknuckle is worth the extra $$$.

Before I bought my Steamroller I checked out how much a good Bareknuckle build would cost me. Turns out I was going to spend $1,400. F that.

1,400 ouch.

The cheaper Sugino BB is the Sugino 68, but you might as well get the 75.

I say either get the Kilo and go cheaper, or get the Bareknuckle and go all italian with it. Miche hubs, Miche BB and crankset (which Im sure is cheaper than the Sugino stuff), but I would go clincher if it is going to be a daily or almost daily ridden bike.

I have a BK and love it. The kilo's are also nice, but the BK's are pricey. Go all italian if you get one. Or just get an IRO Mark V Pro, the frame/fork is around 285 IIRC.

I spend around 1700 for my BK, but I bought parts whenever I worked overtime, so it took a little while to get it together, Im glad I took the time to do it right. Im thankful I can afford nice **** now.

rent a bike at your local 'drome. The bikes in burnaby are decent if you're getting started.
then buy something used off one of the racers once you know what you're doing.

Try asking over on FixedGearFever.com. They have a "beginners help" sub forum within which you can get a lot of help and advice from guys who race.

It seems that most agree that you should just start with the rental bikes (as baxtefer suggested).
