Bicycle Mechanics - Please help me find the tools I need (BB, crank and Freewheel removal)

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I already have the chain whip and got the front wheel hub repacked. Now I just need the freewheel and BB repacked.
Its a Suntour freewheel:

A three notch BB cap.

How do I remove the cap on the crank arm nut? Do I just pry it off?

What ball bearing sizes do I need for these job? Where is the best place to buy the tools?
Thanks in advance!
freewheel tool: http://www.parktool.com/products/detail.asp?cat=4&item=FR%2D2 Available at any bike store that sells Park tools and most do.
I can't read the brand of the crank, someone with more experience then I might be able to tell by the way it looks.

DS - Looks like it might take a 5mm allen wrench.
NDS - pry with a nice wide flat screwdriver in that notch.

It looks like you have a screw-on cap on your drive side crank, and a pry-off cap on your non-drive side. Unscrew the drive side cap with an allen wrench, pry off the non-drive side with a screwdriver.
If you intend to open up your bottom bracket, you'll need a crank puller. Park tool makes two crank pullers. I suggest getting the CCP-2, which I have used many times without issue.
I have use a sugino lockring wrench to undo lockrings in the past. It has a single tooth and can thus be used on lockrrings with any number of notches.
+1 on the freewheel tool. Get a fw tool with 2 teeth instead of 4. A 2-tooth tool can be used on a 4 notch and a 2 notch freewheel.
Most lbs's have a whole rack of park tools.
Okay, so I ordered (from Nashbar) the chain whip, two teeth (FR-2) freewheel remover, crank puller and lockring wrench.
Anything else I missed? Also, what ball bearing sizes do I need?
Thanks again!

Its all messed-up, I think I'll just have to pry this one out too.
Got the tools and began working on the BB. I pulled it out and it was caked with rust. The spindle has pits.
So now I want to replace it with a cartridge type BB. SO my obvious question now is....w/c BB do I buy?
I don't need anything special, just something that will work with my bike. Nashbar has a Shimano UN25 for $4. Will that work?
Thanks again!

Since it's a freewheel, you won't need a chainwhip. Chainwhips are only used on cassette/freehub removal.
When you get the freewheel removal tool, put it in a vice and put the wheel on the tool. You can apply much better force that way.

Also, clamp the freewheel tool in place on the hub using the qr skewer. Snug the skewer down at first and begin to back it off as soon as the freewheel breaks loose. Sun Tour 2-prong removal tools and freewheels are easy to damage if the remover pops off as torque is being applied so be sure it is held securely in place when you start. The removal starting torque can be very high.

They don't have your size
Thanks for all your help folks!
I'll try working on it again this weekend.
So, what are my options as far as sealed BB unit goes? Please point me to a decent quality ones, for not too much $$.
Find out what size you need first.

The BB spindle lenght is 4.4 inch, so would a 68x110mm BB work?
I probably don't understand your bearing question. If you have loose ball bearings, just mic them to get the size. The rear wheel on my bikes all have 1/4 inch loose bearings and the front wheels all have 3/16 inch bearings. That does not mean your size will be the same. 9 balls in each side for the rear, ten balls each side front. You can buy new loose ball bearings cheap, no need to reuse old questionable ones. I bought bags of 100 each size for about $2 each. Or go to your LBS and pay about ten cents or less per ball. If you don't have a micrometer, you can buy a cheap one at Harbor Freight for $2 which works fine, or move up to a digital unit for about $20. I just bought an 8 inch digital unit on sale at HF for $20. But the plastic $2 one is fine too (I have one of those also).
If you have caged bearings, take them to your LBS and get new ones.

I got all the ball bearing sizes all figured out (I have a micrometer). Its just the type of sealed BB unit I need now 68X110 OR 68X113mm?
I ordered a 68x113mm and a 68x110mm just to be on the safe side.
I want to try this too, and see if it will work.

Your freewheel is a 4 prong. The FR2 remover is for the 2 prong. Suntour made both. You may want to use the correct one so you don't break the 2 prong. As my dad always said.."use the right tool for the right job"...Try this..

Turns out my LBS has a sealed 68x110mm. They installed it for $27. All is well now. Thanks to all for all your help! :)
