I was in Cassave/Steve/Clint group and when I realized it getting real hard & the view is spectacular (and the Sun in the right position) I thought that it will be the best place to stop and take photos in order to show us working hard.
It end up in the same time that it was like an an excuse to stop and take a break from pushing less than 50 cadance up hill...
In one point on Latigo I was waiting for close to 30 minutes to get more and more rider`s photos but I know now that I took no photos of group B and I am sorry for that.
I just didn't know that we got saperated so much and it hard to stop for so long in the middle of a climb.

Oh, and for those of you who didn't make it and wondering about the trucks in the background? Those were our support and team trucks. Joy is that good at organization!

Those trucks contained the portable showers and hot tubs that followed us, right?

Yea, I was feeling too fatigued. I felt spent all day, went to bed super early, and slept for almost 10 hours. I don't think I could have even made it up GMR, nevermind Baldy.

Nice pics, Rick. I didn't know we've got another capable photographer in the club. By the way, Rodney said you were climbing like an incarnation of Marco Pantani - good job man! I wish I was there. And what's up with that guy without the helmet. Horrors!! SoCal is going to the dogs. ;) :D

No, not like Pantani cause I didn't have his drugs! I was climbing okay, but not that great, really. I rode GMR on Sun. with Mr.Beanz and friends (see GMR crash thread), and my legs were really hurting on the climb up GMR. No way I could keep up with Beanz, Vert. Bob, and the rest.

Plus, jpconrad's crash may have been fatal if he hadn't been wearing his helmet, . . . so you should always wear yours! I know this probably won't convince you, but I must try!

Last thing I saw of you that day was you flying downhill as we headed up. You should have brought your helmet and done the whole ride!

Latigo without water is too much, I usually drink alot.

I made sure I wouldnt convince myself to do the ride :). Too much cardio at this crucial time. Maybe in 2-3 months
