What is the best value repair stand ? Need stability, a good clamp, some adjustability (height), don't need portability, but don't want to pay Park's and the like prices ?

I was looking for a real good stand that was good quality and priced in the middle price range. I ended up purchasing a Spin Pro Doctor Pro Repair Stand II at Performance Bikes for $99 on special. I think it's very similiar in quality to the Ultimate Stand which sells for 199. So far I'm very happy and it folds up very easy for storage or car travel.

I bought a Wrench Force a few months ago for $160. It has height adjustment and you can rotate the bike 360 degrees. I can get my bike so high I can almost look the bottom bracket in the eye, and I am 6'3". And it is rock solid.

Sure, it's a bit on the expensive side considering there are stands available for around $80-100, but, in my opinion, you get what you pay for.

I have the same Spin Doctor Pro II for $99 from Performance that bman shows above. I think it is great!! Very adjustable, very stable and folds up into a small package for storage. Well made of heavy guage aluminum with QR clamps for legs and height adjustment. Like it better than the heavier Park stand I had which was neither as adjustable nor could the Park be collapsed for storage.

Having read PS's post about folding for storage, the Wrench Force folds up nicely for storage or for toting around in your motorized vehicle when you go to a race or whatever.
