Hello,

I'm aspiring to become a weekend bike mechanic and I need to be pointed twards some learning resources. I spent the better part of 10years as an auto mechanic, so I have good mechanical proficiency and lots of tools already. My guineapig bike is a Specialized Allez M2 comp.

Check your local bike shops and ask if they're hiring part time bike builders. That's the absolute best way to learn.

+1 I did their one-week beginner's course last summer. Well worth it. Also, Ashland OR is just a cool place to hang out for a while. You'd probably be interested in their two-week professional course.
