Haa Pointyhead, this is funny but also scarry to me all in one..What if you have a four way stop intersection, and you have 2 cars that have this, one going north lets say on the north/south road, and another car going east on the east/west road, both cars approach the intersection, and both have this and press the button to make the light green for their respective ways, who get's to go, or does one get the priority over the other?? or does both get the green, and they just crash into both, effectively making this device, utterly stupid and a waste of money??:D :D :D

These devices are sold only to emergency response groups (fire, police, EMS, etc.). Plus, only a small percentage of lights are set up to work with them.
I'm not sure how the system decides who gets priority if two users send conflicting signals, but most (all?) traffic lights have a failsafe built in that prevents multiple greens.

As stated,,, they only work at intersections that have sensors. These are usually major intersections. Youd still have to stop at the next small crossing.

It's my understanding that most optically-preemptable traffic signals have coded receivers and identifiers. I think the above device might work with older systems but you can't count on it working with more modern installations. Also, this won't work with radio transponder systems. Either way, I didn't see a handlebar mount for it. :D
