I think my daughter is going to be at a summer camp this week and I'm thinking of registering for the entire week of riding culminating in RAIN on Saturday.

For those of you who have only ridden in RAIN, the centuries are going to be in some of the most scenic, southern areas of the state. Would be really pretty....could be smokin hot!

Sounds like a lot of fun (and very tiring), but the $1300 price tag is a little steep for me right now.

The registration says it's limited to 50 people, so it looks like if you want in, now's the time.

Crystal,

I had a couple friends really wanting to, but the price sort of scared them off. They are looking into a camping option, but I doubt that will fly. It does sound fun, and I prefer the lodge option myself, $1300 is not bad for a week. I would like to go myself, just the summer is tough for me to get away - much easier to leave while the kids are in school. I hope you do it. If you come into Richmond early be sure to stop by and say hello, or if you need anything (car storage etc...)

RAIN 2007 was nowhere near the hardest ride of the year, even if was 54 miles longer than my next longest ride.

Tailwind + almost no hills = Yee-HAW Fast!

That said, I'm considering offering to be the SAG driver this year to hedge my bets that the same tailwind won't show up two years in a row. ;)

Agreed. The 60 miles at Dairyland Dare was at the top of my list.
