Touring - Orlieb outer pockets

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
My wife and I will be getting two new sets of Ortlieb panniers and since our old AGU (front) bags have outer pockets (that we've found very handy) are thinking of getting the Orlieb Outer Pockets. (http://www.ortlieb.de/_prod.php?lang=en&produkt=aussentasche)
Has anyone here have any experiance with these? Looking at the way they clip on (pdf), (http://www.ortlieb.de/_anleit/aussentasche.pdf)they don't look very secure.
Thanx

Here's a picture of how they attach:

I'd love to have some additional pockets as well, but this just does not look good/secure. My solution was to get a handlebar bag.
I see what you mean, that does not look nice at all.
Thanx for the picture.

I have 2 sets of these pockets I move around between my panniers. They have never failed me in any way. I carry a bottle of stove fuel in one so that any spills don't get into my gear, I put a F/A kit in one for easy access. I've carried my camera and wallet in one again for easy access. I love them and wouldn't tour without them.
The mounting system is quite secure and they can be removed without too much trouble should you want just the main pannier. Mounting them does not compromise the waterproofness of the main bag.
You can mount one to back side of each rear pannier and if you really wanted loads of pockets you could attach two to each front pannier - one of each side.
Depending on the size, we're interested in the ones that fit the front (roller classic) bags. We will like to be able to reach them without dismounting. On our old bags we were able to put food and fit (up to) 1.5L water bottles, which made them very handy.
cheers
