O.K., my wife crashed hard 4th of July weekend,:crash: hurt her knee badly and is still off the (mtn) bike. :( She is better(not yet fully recovered-but close). She has only been riding on the road lately, but we're planning to go riding next weekend, and she's very reluctant!

Being the compasionate husband that I am, :angel:I was considering getting her some protection. No, not that type of protection! :o Some elbow and knee pads. No, the knee pads aren't going to be used for that! Jeez, get your minds out of the gutters!

Anyways, I was curious if anyone uses knee and elbow pads while riding? How protective are they? Which brand is best? We live in FL so comfort (heat) is an issue. Costs is the least of my concerns. As many of you know, "If mama aint happy, aint nobody happy".:irritated I've seen the Roach Pads, Azonic, and Fox. Any other suggestions? Which are best?

Thanks

I use the Roach DH pads. Some people say they are too hot, but I have never found that to be a problem here in New Orleans. It gets pretty hot here.

I wear fox elbow pads. They are the slide on kind...

These are very comfortable. No knee pads (for any purpose :) ) as of yet so can't recommend.
