So is there interest in doing this again publicly this year? I intend to do it again, as I'm sure others will, but that does not necessarily mean people want to track their progress on BF. I suspect that some/many of the 38 who took the challenge in 2007 rode more Centuries than they reported but just lost interest in posting.
So if there is sufficient interest I will step up and serve as CAM Czar, since Caligurl has completely ignored our attempts to lure her back.
So go ahead and respond to the poll and we'll see where this goes.

So far I'm booked for the Palm Springs, Solvang, and Wildflower centuries, and will probably do the Paso Robles thing on Memorial Day for another century. And Cool Breeze in August, of course. But I'm not quite ready to commit to one every month. Dunno why. All attempts at jeering, patronizing, don't-be-a-whimp encouragement are of course welcome.

Well, Dan - I would do it, but under the following conditions: ;) :D
- change the unit of measure from miles to kilometers
- more slacker centuries in the new u/m (you are the slacker czar too, so this one should be easy to grant)
- discounts and incentives (like for example ride 11, get 1 free)
- ban doubles as unusually cruel and inhuman punishment.

I was planning on it, but tomorrow I have surgery on my left hand so I'm probably off the bike for 2-3 weeks. Can I do two in February and let it slide?

Thanks. I needed that. We'll see. Actually, though, after an aggregate of more than thirty years of being married (in three installments) I'm more accustomed to being "motivated" by women. But. . . .

Metric centuries are too wimpy to even consider. Too avoid embarrassment it's best just to refer to them as "Metrics" so no one will think you are deluding yourself.
I will consider one concession - maybe. Since this is getting started late this year - January is half over, I endorse the blasphemy proposed by robertkat to allow riders to do two centuries in one month to catch up if they cannot make the January century. But just once! As in 12 centuries in 11 months, not 12 centuries in 7 or 8 or whatever months.
See? I am fair and benelovent and will at no point demand bribes.

Indolent is running a Dictatorship here....
Who's to say a Metric is any less challenging to me that a mile century is to you...
I think he spent his time in Turkey taking lessons on repressing the people!!

I'm with Drew and Herb! And in order to determine who's right, I suggest let's race! We do our century, "they" do theirs and see who finishes first. :D Quality will always triumph over Quantity. I bet you, gentlemen - we'll be drinking beer at the finish while the "other" century riders are still out on the road.

I mean my wheels and tires are measured in metric so why should the distance be any different?
If you wanted to do an English measured century than we should have stayed with 27 1/4" wheels and tires.:D

You are all whiners.
And it's not "English". Miles are as American as Soy Lattes and outdoor turkey deep fryers.
