I am a new member to this site, and to the bike riding scene as a whole. This summer for 2 months, I along with 25 fellow riders from the Baltimore, MD area are going to be biking 4,000 miles as part of our effort to spread awareness about cancer, and to raise funds for local organizations that help cancer victims (The Hope Lodge) as well as cancer research organizations (Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center, ACS).

My friend is an avid bike enthuthiast, and let me know about this site. He is making his own fixed gear bike soon, so I take his word for it that you guys are a great community. Please, if you can help us by telling others about what we are doing, help us to raise our funds, it would be greatly appreciated.
