well today i relized my tires were running too low on air for my tastes.
so i go to inflate them, get out my compressor, but alas.. the valve is most peculiar.
i cannot really describe it, but it seems to have some sort of.. pin.. in it with a nut over it that can be loosened/tightened... but i dont know what i'd use to fill the tires with.
i'm hoping its some standard MTB thing
secondly, i have a Manitou front fork with that micro-lube port thang.
what do i use for that? what kind of lubricant, and what kind of tool puts it in?
As for the tube in the tires, those are called presta valves. YOu can buy a adapter to convertt them to schaeder for about $1 at your LBS if you want to. Or you can pickup a pump at your LBS that will support Schraeder (standard on car tires) and presta.
I don't know the manitou off-hand to know what their microlube port looks like. Or what goes in that paticular port.
I can't directly answer you're qeustion about the fork, but you can go to manitou's web site and download the manual for you're fork and that will have all the info.

Just go to tech support then click manual on top and select the fork you have.
the microlube ports are for the grease gun to fit into. you can probably get the gun plus a tube of lube for 10-20 bucks. it is a manitou specific thing, though.

The mirco lube ports require a special gun and grease and you g2 grease both ports. The guy at the store said you only have to grease them once a season but i think he was lying. and you have a presta valve which requires a different head for the pump
