It is a shame that some one would even ask that question. You must either be young or doent't ride your bike that much. It's all about having fun.If you feel like riding whatever form of biking there is,do it and doen't worrie about which is better.

It's all in opinion.

Flatlanding- more technical and can get annoying if u can't get a trick right

Dirt- hurts a lot more but air is fun!!!!!!

I like Dirt, but i have a great respect for good Flatland riders, as there is a lot more concentration and discipline involved in it.

They can't even be compared because they are so different. The patience required to be good at flatland is the hardest thing to develop. I've ridden both and i prefer street, but flatland comes next. Late.

well, really it is all a matter of opnion, as some of u said befor me..that true and also, a dirt rider unless he is not bias will say dirt is better, same thing goes for a flat rider...alot of u are bias

I USED TO RIDE DIRT... KINDA STOPPED WHEN I COPPED A HANDEL BAR IN MY GUT... IT WASNT MINE WEITHER

EVER SINCE THEN STREET HAS BEEN HOME.... I GUESS I LIKE TO STAY CLOSER TO THE GROUND SINCE THAT MID AIR STACK.....

WHAT EVER GUYS, TRY EM BOTH, DIRT IS FOR SLOW BMX RIDERS !!!!!!!!!!!!!! :p

STAY COOL,

personally i like doing both dirt and flatland but i started off just dirt. flatland is alot harder cuz you need alot of concentration and you also need patience to put up with getting hurt and screwing up , but for my taste i would rather do BOTH! and not pick.

i've never tried dirt, for the reason that i don't have a car, and the nearest place remotely resembling a course is really really insanely far away =P

Topics like this cause a lot of fighting...is that what your trying to bring us to? Anyway, I do flatland almost all of the time but I might go to the dirt jumps once in a while when there are too many motorscooterers in my way on the street  :D lol. Though, dirt is more popular but flatland is alone and cool. heh. j/k. There is no comparison between them.

I love both for their different skills and requirements. A good trick in both leave me jaw dropped just itching to get out on my bike and try it. Thats all that matters in the end :)

dude dirt kicks ass. flat land is gay cuz air doesnt exist on flatland. if u flat land and are too chicken to hit a 6ft dirt jump or even a 3fter, well u jsut plain suck

Sh1fty
03-24-03, 04:33 PM

to say its gay just because you are not flying through the air, is wrong. it takes mad skills. its like comparing apples and pears.

Ok first off, if this is helping you decide which to ride...you made this for no reason Put it this way : Opinions Are Like *******s, They stink and everyone has one.
Now with that out of the way....
I have never tried flatland....but i think those riders are highly talented and extremely motivated. I, personally, like dirt and street. Ive learned how to ride dirt jumping and eventually moved myself to street. So, No offense to flatlanders, dirt and street are my vote. I just love the feel of being in the air and the feel of just going around the streets doing and hitin ledges and hips......I LOVE THIS SPORT!!!

Hope This Helps...
